Destin Airport is a general aviation public use facility owned and operated by Okaloosa County. It does not provide service to commercial airlines. The airport is located eight miles west of Sandestin.

Panama City Airport is forty-five minutes to the east and serviced by Delta and Northwest Airlines.

Okaloosa Airport in Ft. Walton is forty-five minutes west and serviced by AirTran, Northwest, Delta, and U.S. Air airlines.

Pensacola Airport is an hour and fifty minutes west of of the beaches, and serviced by Delta, Continental, Northwest, and U.S. Air airlines.
